About Jeff
This blog is not really about me per se, but more about my views on certain things. Something that you’ll notice right away is that I’m all over the place. It’s a curse really, I’m rarely able to concentrate on any one thing for long.
So, what do I like… tough one, what DON’T I like might be easier. But that’s negative, and in the immortal words of Peter Fonda in Easy Rider, I don’t dig on that.
Likes:
- My Family (two phenomenal girls and a wonderful, understanding, spitfire of a wife. And my extended family, don’t get me started, I couldn’t have chosen better.)
- My Friends (I love em all… but I truly cherish Fish, Dave and Wayne. They know who they are.)
- Mountain Biking (One of the two coolest sports on the face of the earth. Well at least that I’ve experienced.)
- Alpine Skiing (Especially back country. Close second to mountain biking.)
- Games (I love em all… but mostly role playing ones like Dungeons and Dragons, an affection from my younger years that I thankfully haven’t lost. C’mon, I’m a kid at heart.)
- Science Fiction and Fantasy (Books, movies, and everything else that includes that genre.)
- Good books in general (What’s better than a fantastic story? I can’t think of much.)
- Deserted places, there aren’t many left in the world
- Ancient history (what makes us who we are is often illustrated in our past)
You’ll find that I write about anything that sparks my interest. From games to politics, sports to space exploration. I hope you enjoy my small corner of the world, if you find something you like or dislike, please let me know and leave a comment. In my opinion there’s nothing better than an informed, intelligent, and respectful debate to get people thinking.
